Thousands of people took out a rally from historic Jamia Masjid in downtown Srinagar immediately after the Friday prayers. Shouting pro-Palestine and anti-Israel slogans, the people marched towards the main square Nowhatta.
However, when the demonstrators were trying to march towards main chowk, security forces deployed in the area resorted to lathicharge to disperse them which had no impact.
Meanwhile hundreds of people gathered in the Main market Kupwara after Friday prayers to protest against Israel and America over blood bath in Gaza.
The biggest procession was taken out in kupwara was started from Markazi Jamia Masjid through different markets against the Israel aggression and burnt Isreal flag in protest.
Hundreds of people in Hyderpora , central Kashmir’s Ganderbal, neighbouring Kangan town, Sopore town of Baramulla district, Highgam Sopore and Sangrama, Baramulla town and Bandipora district also took to streets and held anti-Israel protests.
People also took to streets at Main Town, Papchan, Hajin, Naidkhai, Watapora, Ashtangoo and Nowgam areas of Bandipora.
